Diner

When everything cleared up, Jon and his siblings found themselves not at the kitchen table, but at a diner. Jon rushed to the window. The rest of the street still looked the same, but...his house and the one next to it appeared to have been replaced by a diner. They were sitting in a booth, and there was fresh and hot food in front of them...but no one else was there, despite the fact that there were tables that looked like people should be around and enjoying them.
