Cracking open the door, he walked to the stairs and listened in on the conversation. "It's Alyssa, isn't it?" His mom asked, talking about his father's co-worker. "What about her?" His dad returned. "You've been seeing her after work haven't you?!" "What I do after work is my business, not yours!" Before the conversation could turn nasty, Jon scrambled back to his room and closed the door.
