The Puzzle: The New Karyn Calls

Jon sat on his bed, staring at his cellphone. How did the caller know that he was using the wishing stone? More importantly, how was the caller able to *stop him* from using the wishing stone? He sat there a moment longer, then nearly jumped when his cellphone rang again. "Who are you?! Tell me!" he yelled into the phone, thinking it was the unknown caller. "Jon? What's wrong?" a girl's voice asked. He looked down at the ID on his cellphone. It said KARYN. But that was most definitely *not* Karyn's voice. It must have been whoever replaced her. "Jon? Are you okay? What's going ..." Jon hung up, cutting her off. He had to fix things. He didn't want to play this unknown caller's game, but he couldn't let Karyn remain the way she was. He had to get her back to normal. After that, he could deal with everyone else.
