Trip to the Hospital

Jon waited. Nothing happened. *Maybe its happening to someone else,* thought Jon. He hadn't wished that something interesting would happen to *him.* *I suppose that someone else could have something interesting happen to them. I may never even know what had happened.* Just then, Jon heard his mom call up, "Are you finished yet, Jon. Its time to go to the hospital." *Why are we going to the hospital?* thought Jon. Figuring that he would be expected to know what was going on, and not wanting to look conspicuous in front of his family, Jon made a wish to know what was going on.
