Out of Time

He ended up at the bottom of the stairs. But...something was very wrong. While everything seemed familiar...it didn't. It was the same set of stairs, the same room...but...the furniture, the pictures on the wall, even the paint...everything else was different. There was a folded newspaper sitting nearby. He spotted the headline then moved closer. The date was right, but the year...was very very wrong. He felt weak in the knees, like he might faint, but swallowed to try and stop it. He was in the right place, but in the wrong time.
