Tolerant Mother

Just at that moment, Jon felt the room shaking a bit. Knowing that it couldn't have been an earthquake, since they didn't live in a seismic zone, Jon figured that it was Zoe playing her music too loud. He headed into the living room and saw his mom sitting on the couch, watching some TV. "Mom, Zoe's playing her music too loud," he said. She turned towards him and shrugged. "So?" Jon stared at her. "Aren't you going to tell her to turn it down?" "Why? She can do whatever she wants. It's none of *my* business." Jon's mouth dropped open again. This must have had something to do with his wish as well. His mom wasn't this tolerant of Zoe's behavior.
