Less Than Two Feet

He crawled out from under the pile of clothes and froze. It was his room all right, but it was gigantic...or rather, he realized..he was little. He tried to stand up, but felt rather weak in the knees, and collapsed on the bed. He wasn't sure, but he must be under two feet tall. "This isn't happening," he mumbled. People didn't suddenly shrink down to the size of a large doll. He leapt off the bed to the floor, landing without injury, and heading toward the door, still feeling unsteady on his feet. He tried to reach the doorknob, but it was over a foot above his head. This was nuts. Even if he could reach it, was he even strong enough to turn it anymore?
