Personality Mix-Up: Who's Karyn?

"Uh, actually, I think I better leave. I promised I'd meet up with Karyn before school," Jon said, before quickly swishing out of the kitchen and back upstairs to his room. He left so quickly, though, that he failed to hear his mother say "Who's Karyn?" Jon grabbed his schoolbag and what appeared to be a purse (he groaned at seeing it), then headed out of the house. He didn't promise to meet Karyn early, but that's where he was headed anyway. He wanted to see if she still knew him in this new reality. He had already tried the stone, but it was annoyingly silent. Would it ever work again? Seeing that it wasn't helping him, he decided to leave it at home. But now, halfway to Karyn's house, he was wondering if he shouldn't have brought it with him anyway.
