The Cloud: Zoe Wakes Up

Zoe awoke at the sound of someone knocking (almost pounding) on her bedroom door. She looked at the clock. It was time to get up for school, even though she was less than motivated to do so, as usual. "What do you want?" Zoe nearly shouted. "It's time for school, Zoe. So get the fuck up." Zoe's eyes went wide. That wasn't some weird dream she had last night. Her mom really did become like her - a teenage Goth girl. And that was her mom right now, knocking on her door and telling her to get up. But *this* time, she talked like Zoe would talk, sounding ticked off. She got out of bed and ran to the door, opening it when she got to it. Then she headed out into the hallway, just in time to see a figure dressed in black and fishnets and leather boots turning the corner onto the stairs. Was that her mom? Zoe closed her bedroom door, then headed downstairs. Being fully awake now (more than the previous night, anyway), she worked out in her head what to ask her new mother when she caught up with her. As they were, things were totally insane. But there must have been some kind of logic to this weirdness.
