Jon Changes Too

Jon turned around and headed back upstairs. He needed to get the stone and make a wish. He needed to know what was happening. "I've got to do *something*," Jon mumbled to himself as he walked up the stairs. "The way he is now, Dad looks like a freak." Suddenly, Jon stopped in mid-step. It felt like a light bulb turned on in his head and then exploded, taking half of his mind with it. Unknown to him, the moment he commented on his father as being a "freak", whatever had changed his father was now affecting *him* as well. But like his father, Jon wouldn't notice.
