"Mom?" Jon asked hesitantly, walking back into the kitchen. *Or is it **Dad** now?* he thought, with a cringe. The man turned and looked at him. "Jon, what are you still doing down here? I told you to go put on a bra," he said. Apparently, Jon didn't say the wish loud enough to allow his mother to hear it, so her memories changed to fit the new reality. But what exactly *was* the new reality? If his mom was now a man, what happened to his real dad? He wasn't home yet. He always worked late. Were his parents gay? Did the stone make his dad female? Or was his father no longer part of his family? Jon wasn't sure. "Mom ..." Jon said. "Why do you keep calling me that?" the man asked. "Well, what do you *want* me to call you?" Jon asked back.
