The Following Morning

Tina, Nadine's best friend, spotted her the following morning at school and headed over. "Nadine, you didn't show up at Church this morning before school." "I slept in," Nadine said. "Getting up an hour early to go to church..." she shrugged, nonchalantly. "Seemed like a waste of time." "Are you all right?" Tina said. This didn't sound like her friend. "Yeah, why?" Nadine said, her attention distracted in the direction of some boys talking across the hall. "I did get shocked last night by my laptop. My mom is going to take it to have it repaired." Tina frowned. Her friend could be a bit high-strung, but this was a complete reversal. Nadine seemed relaxed, even...happy, oddly enough. *What was wrong with her?*
