Ball of Energy

Right after Jon made his wish, a few miles out of town, at the furthest extent of the wishing stone's range, something appeared. A grassy field in the middle of nowhere in particular. Crickets chirping, a small breeze blowing. It was a typical night. Then the crickets stopped chirping. The wind turned violent, as a spark of energy appeared a few feet above the ground. Then the spark grew in size, bigger and bigger. Until it was a sphere of intense light, no bigger than a tennis ball. It blinked. Once, then twice. Then it shot off at lightning speed towards the nearest road ... the road that lead to Jon's hometown of Lake Point.
