Slowly Swapping: Checking in with Sharon

Meanwhile Sharon was in her car driving to pick Sally up from school. She couldn't wait to show Sally her drawings. Sharon had had a very good day. She had seen two clients and in between those meetings she had made two more drawings. One was of her and Sally getting ice cream and the other was of Sharon dressed as a princess. Sharon grew excited as she pulled into the school and saw Sally waving. Sharon waved happily back. Sharon was still smiling until her daughter got into the car and Sharon saw that she had makeup on. "Hi sweetie" Sally said smiling showing her painted lips. "Did you have a good day at work?" She asked as Sharon pulled out of the school. Sharon tried to act as if she hadn't noticed anything. "Yeah I did" She said excitedly and she proceeded to tell her daughter about her day while Sally just nodded and listened. "And then, and then I got" Sharon said excitedly as they headed home. "Then I got to do some drawings. And they're really good and one of them is of me and you Sally". She finished. "That's nice sweetie. You can show me them when we get home". Sharon pouted. "Aww, Sally. I want to show you them now!" "Later" Sally said firmly.
