Someone Takes The Stone

Sitting on his front porch, Jon leaned over the stone that was resting in his hand. Ever since he discovered that he *could* indeed wish for something that could change the *entire* planet, he started wondering about all the things he could wish for. But, of course, any wish that changed the world *had* to have a bad consequence associated with it. If Jon wished that diseases never existed, that would be great. But what if some sort of ailment showed up *after* the wish was made. If diseases never existed, wouldn't people's bodies not be able to fight off the viruses? With that single good-intentioned wish, Jon could very well kill off every human and animal on the planet. Thinking that he needed to say it out loud, just to *hear* the question, Jon said "If I can make a wish to change the world, which one wouldn't have any bad consequences associated with it?" Suddenly, a shadow fell over Jon. Someone was standing in front of him. He was so engaged in his thinking, that he didn't even notice the person was there until that moment.
