The Clerk

The clerk looked up at Jon. Jon thought she was kind of pretty, and started to blush as he thought about what a freak he looked like to her. After all, teenage boys would rarely have a reason to buy pretty dresses, no matter how soft they feel. The clerk took the dress from him and scanned the bar code. "Twenty-five, seventy-six." She said. Jon silently handed her the money, took his change and his dress, and left the store. Once he was out of sight, the store clerk said quietly to herself, "It's been a while since we've gotten one of them in this section. If Linda was working today, she'd have liked to mess with him, a little." She went back to reading TG fiction on the computer next to the register.
