Things Are Marginally Different

Jon looked around his room. There wasn't really anything different, except ... there was a photo on his dresser of him and Sarah. They were hugging each other. But Jon remembered that photo. Originally it was Jon and *Karyn* hugging. Not because they were romantically involved, but because they were friends. Jon looked around his room some more. He couldn't find any indication that he was even friends with Karyn in this reality. He hoped that he wasn't bitter enemies with her, considering who his girlfriend was. But part of him was intrigued. What *would* Karyn be like if that were true? He put away the stone. He didn't need it, at least not until he wanted to break up with Sarah. In the meantime, he preferred to go wish-free. A few seconds after he put the stone away, his bedroom door opened ...
