An Hour Later

An hour later, they were *still* playing Halo. There was a knock on Jonnie's door. "It's me. Karyn." "Come in!" Jonnie shouted. She needed to stay focused on the game. Karyn walked in and saw them playing. "Jen? When did *you* start playing video games?" Jen looked over her shoulder, briefly. "What do you mean?" Karyn seemed confused. "You always say video games are stupid." "I do?" Jen let go of the controller, letting Jonnie win. "Yeah," Karyn said. "Actually, I'm surprised to even *see* you here. I thought you'd be at the mall with Stacy and Erika." When Karyn said the word "mall", Jen felt an intense desire to shop. Jon was never that enthusiastic about shopping; in fact, the only reason he ever really went to the mall was to eat in the food court with Karyn. But now that he was Jen, his motivations were all different. Even when she was playing Halo with Jonnie, she didn't feel quite as "into it" as she had when she was Jon. As per the wish, Jen *felt* girlie.
