Benny And Lauren Aren't Doing So Well...

Benny woke up miserable, the second day of his first period. He'd noticed changes, small changes, over the past couple of weeks. His body felt strange, not his own; fat was slowly building up on his hips and thighs, and most disconcertingly, in his chest. Very small mounds were beginning to form there, and he felt confused most of the time, irritable, and prone to tears when he never had been before. The face that looked back at him from the mirror was a subtly different one, softer, rounder. He loathed going to school now, because the changes were getting tougher to hide. And now he would be bleeding from the vagina that shouldn't be his for several days. He had almost fainted when he heard from his mom what to do with the "tampons" she'd given him. He'd put one in last night and went into the bathroom this morning to change it, after being woken up by two screams from somewhere else in the house. His mom, Lauren, was as miserable as he was.
