ANFSCD: Jim Follows Them

Jim followed Jamie and her boyfriend at a discreet distance (he didn't want her boyfriend to know he was following them), until they arrived at the six-screen cineplex, just down the street from the high school. Jim peeked around a corner and watched Jamie and her boyfriend get in the ticket line. They were both smiling and even laughing occasionally. Her boyfriend didn't seem like the asshole she made him out to be, back when he met Jamie for the first time. "I wonder who he is," Jim whispered to himself, mentally urging him to turn around so he could see his face. But he didn't. At least, not until they got to the ticket box, that was. Jim squinted, to make sure he wasn't seeing things. It was Rick! "But ... he's out of town," Jim whispered. "It *can't* be him."
