Jack glanced around. *Now what?* he thought. "Jack Morris! Is there a Jack Morris here?!" he heard a voice yell over all the people making out. Jack squinted and noticed a small man moving through the crowd, pushing couples out of the way as he went. When he got close enough, however, Jack saw that it wasn't a small person, but rather a boy of about ten years old. The reason he thought it was a man was that his voice sounded a lot deeper than any kid Jack had ever heard. The boy stopped right in front of Jack and looked up at him. "Are *you* Jack Morris?" he asked. "Uh ... yeah." "Come with me," the boy said. "Where are we going?" "Just follow me." Jack shrugged his shoulders and followed the boy with the deep voice to one of the doors on the side of the lobby. The windows to its sides showed complete darkness outside. "Just go through that door," the boy said. "But there's nothing out there," Jack said, hesitating. "There *will* be after you open the door." Jack was about to ask him another question, but the boy had already moved back into the crowd of people, shouting out another name. "Ashley Smith! Is there an Ashley Smith here?!" Jack turned his attention back to the door, then (after taking a deep breath) he opened it.
