Jon was excited about his new wish, but he knew he still had two weeks before he could try it out at the airports or the busier city he'd be staying in the night before the memorial service. So, he ended up getting ready for school the next day in much the same way as he always did. He grabbed a poptart for breakfast, Zoe grunted at him when he spoke, and he met up with Karyn to walk for school, business as usual. However, his day at school would be anything but typical for the wish stone endowed teen. During his homeroom class he was idly sketching in his notebook when he looked up at the sound of heels clicking into the room. He had thought it would be his homeroom teacher, Ms. Nakahara, but instead it was the queen bee of the school Sarah McMillan, dressed to the nines as usual in a frilly black crop top, white sheathe skirt and matching white heels. She'd come to the room to deliver a note to Ms. Nakahara for her own homeroom teacher, but upon crossing the threshold, she locked eyes with Jon and the world seemed to stop spinning. Jon couldn't believe it. He was suddenly filled with the certainty that Sarah was his ideal partner. Someone he could share the ups and downs of life with, each making each other into the best version of themselves. Despite having previously thought of Sarah as a fake, stuck up rich girl, he suddenly knew there was potential between them for the deepest, most loving relationship he would ever know. For her part, Sarah was even more shocked. Without knowledge of the stone, she had no idea what was happening when her mind suddenly filled with the certainty that Jon was the person for her. She was dating Biff! Jon was her nemesis Karyn Black's dweeby friend, they couldn't be.... Yet when she looked at him her heart beat faster picturing what they could have together. It was doubly confusing because she really only dated boys for status and to keep up with expectations, so someone so low on the totem pole as Jon. It wasn't like she ever dated for love, because if she did she wouldn't be dating a boy at all, but her desire to keep her social standing kept her firmly in the closet. However, the stone had no such reservations, and Jon began to glow with a white light as his body reshaped. The second part of his wish, making sure they "will both be able to satisfy each other" took effect.

Able to Satisfy (5)

Really fun chapter, looking forward to what you do with it. I have to wonder if Sarah isn't going to get a change as well.

Nice! Totally different idea of the "will both be able to satisfy each other" thing than what I had in mind. Love seeing your take. At some point I'm going to write my planned take. Which was more they gain sort of powers based on the other persons deep fantasies/fetishes... which might change over time.

I was thinking it could be messed up if the perfect partners wish worked properly, but Jon messed up a wish in some other way and the perfect partners made it worse--Jon changes into a girl for some other, temporary reason, and the perfect partners wish finds him a partner while he's a girl.

@Hikaru It doesn't even have to be that... it might be that the best romantic match in terms of personality an interest is a guy... and I though I could have sworn I wrote it to only include women... going back to check I didn't. So it could match him with another guy and change them both. Or change their sexualities. Or give them transformation powers. Though *technically* the "satisfy each other" part should only kick in *if* they decide to start a relationship.
