TGS: Deprogramming

"Save me?" Maria asked me. "Why would I want you to save me? I'm very happy where I am." "Can't you see that they've hypnotized you to think that way?" I asked her. "You don't belong here." "You know, if you don't stop talking like that, I'm going to have to call security." It was at this time that I brought out my diamond necklace. I, of course, didn't *wear* it. But I *did* use it to bring people out of the hypnotic states that were forced onto them by MDOM. (Being a reporter got me into areas usually closed to the public, and that included this men's club.) And Maria Collins was a prime case. "Hey, what's that shiny thing you have there?" Maria asked. "It's so ... pretty. A pretty little ... shiny ..." Suddenly, she fell into a trance. It was time to work my magic. Checking around to make sure no one was watching (MDOM had people everywhere), I proceeded to reverse the damage MDOM had caused to Maria's mind. And after only a few minutes, I did. Maria blinked. "What?" She looked around, as if she didn't know where she was. Then she looked at me. "Where am I? Do I know you? You seem ... familiar." "I'm here to take you home," I said. She smiled weakly, then allowed me to take her out of the building.
