NARAYANNE: Fire and Ice

At first Carl was relieved that the bookmark landed on something non-fiction, but as soon as she saw that polar bear, she thought that some fantasy creature might be more tolerable. The bear looked directly at her and snarled. It looked as if it was about to attack, but the dragon chose that moment to do a little attacking itself, which shifted the bear's attention, fortunately. It was a short battle. An arctic animal shouldn't be expected to take on a creature that breathes *fire*, of all things. The bear just couldn't take the heat. So that was it. With the polar bear now burnt to a crisp, it was back to just Carl and the dragon. Only *now* she had the bookmark and she intended on using it.
