ABANDONED: Charlie Wants Answers

"Now, if you don't mind," the guy said. "We were on our way to the first objective." "And what's that?" Charlie asked. "Does this mean you're coming with us?" the guy asked. "I guess so," Charlie answered. They walked to the edge of the forest and looked out onto the alien landscape. Charlie still found it hard to believe that they were in a game. It was like he really was on another world. The attention to detail was astounding. "So, what are the rules to this game?" Charlie asked. "You didn't pay attention to the tutorial, did you?" the girl asked. "Listen, I don't know *how* I got into this game. I just went to bed and then woke up here. Do *you* have an explanation for that?" "No. But maybe you just have amnesia," the girl said. "I heard that one guy lost all of his memory when he entered the game. Something about the game not being compatible with his brain or something. Maybe that's what happened to you." "I didn't lose *all* my memory." "Hey," the guy said. "I'm sure it'll all work out for you. Can we get back to the game please?" "Fine," Charlie said. "But first, tell me how this game works." The guy sighed, then told Charlie about the game.
