BOX: Research on the Object Takes a Weird Turn

"David, it's okay. We put the fire out," Richard said, walking back into the room. He stopped suddenly, seeing the two women wearing the clothes that *should* have been worn by Tim and David. "What's going on? Who are you two? How did you get down here? This is a restricted laboratory." Tamara and Daisy looked at each other, then back at the scientist guy. Daisy shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know *how* I got here. I just opened my eyes and I was here." "What are you *talking* about?" Richard asked. He moved further into the room and looked at the object through the glass. He had a feeling that it might be glowing, but it wasn't. "Who are you? Tell me." "I'm Daisy, and that's Tamara." Richard looked at Daisy and suddenly saw a clear resemblance to David in her face. Then he looked at Tamara and saw a resemblance to Tim in *her* face. What had happened? Did the object turn them into women? As bizarre as that sounded, they barely knew anything about the object. So, it *could* be possible. It would at least explain why they were wearing Tim and David's clothes. But why would the object turn them into women? What was the point?
