FROZEN: Q&A;

At first there was darkness, but then a bright light was directed into my face. Off to my right, I saw what looked like a giant monitor screen. On it (in large bold fluorescent green letters) were the words: WHO ARE YOU? "Eric Robinson," I said, feeling a little silly answering a monitor. Then the words on the screen disappeared and were replaced by new words: WHERE ARE YOU FROM? Was this a person asking the questions or some sort of computer? Anything was possible in the future, right? And by my assumptions, it *should* have been the early 23rd century. That's when the cryo chamber was supposed to release me. "Pasadena, California," I answered. The screen went totally black, then new words appeared on the screen: WHAT YEAR ARE YOU FROM? "2010," I said. The screen went black again, but this time it *stayed* black. I figured that the Q&A; was over. As I wondered what was next, a door opened to my left, letting in a blinding light. And from the light, I saw a figure emerge.
