A purple and white glittery hair bow landed on Jon’s chest. The tickling around his neck and shoulders started up again for a moment as his hair rearranged itself. “Oooo! That looks nice.” Said Sarah. “I love what you’ve done, there. Let’s see what other good stuff you got.” On his dresser she still found hair bands, but they were much more colourful now. In addition, there were hair pins, barrettes, hair bands, and of course, other bows of various colors and sizes. She also found brushes, hair spray, and spray conditioner. “You have a great collection here, Jon. I am also glad to see you taking care of your hair. Hair health is very important,” she said as she picked up a small red bow. “Hey!” shouted Jon, “stop messing with my things!” “Your things‽” replied Sarah, “these just appeared, and you already think about them as your things. This is changing your mind, too, isn’t it?” Was it messing with his mind? Jon thought about this for a moment. He didn’t think about himself as someone who put decorations in his hair, but those were his, and he didn’t want Sarah handling them. “Okay Jon,” continued Sarah, “I want you to imagine your favorite hair accessory and your favorite way to ware it. Think about why you like it.” Instantly, Jon’s mind went to a pair of large lavender ribbons tied up in bows. He like the color, the way they held his hair together and the way they weighed. They made him feel whole, comlplete, and proud. He didn’t want to think these thought, but just popped into his mind with the prompt. “You got it?” interrupted Sarah, “Okay, I wish Jon was wearing his favorite hair accessory in his favorite hair style.” Jon instantly felt his hair arranged in a different style. Two long French braids off the back and over the shoulders with the large lavender bows on the ends. “Oh, Jon, that’s so cute. You should ware your hair like that more often.” Whole, complete confident, and *cute*, thought Jon. He suddenly thought of this and similar styles as normal. “OMG, Jon, this is so much fun. Let’s try something else.”
