CHANGE: Bobby Confronts His Mother

Still hidden, Bobby's opinion had changed on the situation. At first, he thought it was funny. His mom was totally getting put in her place. But now she was acting like a maid? A French maid? She'd never do something like that, not even for a joke. It was clear that this Rachel woman had some sort of power over his parents. How was she doing it? Bobby snuck out toward the maid's quarters. He found his mother there, changing into a maid's uniform, which was the wrong size for her. "Mom...what the hell are you doing?" "I do not know what you mean," she said, in that thick French accent. Bobby looked her in the eye. "You're not a maid," he insisted. "You're my mom...Angela Wellington." His mother giggled. "Silly boy. I am Angelique...Madame Connors' maid." There was something else. Bobby squinted at his mother. The maid's outfit seemed to fit her better somehow. He blinked again. It wasn't the outfit that was changing. It was his mom. Her body was adjusting itself to fit the uniform. His eyes went wide. Brainwashing was one thing...this was...not possible.
