After school

Jon was giddy as he waited for Karyn after school. "Soooo..." he said as he saw his friend approach, "did anything interesting happen during gym class today?" It was only then that he noticed the expression on Karyn's face: it was not a happy one. "What did you do, Jon." It was a statement, not a question. A command to answer. The boy faltered. "I... don't know? What did I do?" In truth, Jon didn't know. There were murmurings for the rest of the day about *something* happening during 5th period gym, but clear details had not reached Jon. "Sarah McMillan has a dick now, Jon." Karyn was still in 'boys are the enemy' mode. "Now what. Did. Your. Disgusting. Mind. Do." Jon held a genuine look of confusion for a moment before he shifted into damage control. "I didn't wish for that, I swear. I just wished that Sarah would embarrass herself during gym. I wanted you to see Sarah embarrass herself. I didn't wish for anything specific!" Karyn glared at Jon. Then she stomped a foot. Then she let out an angry grunt, and turned to walk away. "Fucking disgusting *boys,* I can't believe you..." but her words became indistinct as she walked farther and farther away. "Jon, you done fucked up," the boy whispered to himself.
