"Oh my god, Karyn! You're really my grandfather!" Jon yelled out in surprise. It seemed unlikely, but Karyn knew it was true. All this time she was really an old man and she didn't even know it. Just the idea that she used to be a *guy* (not to mention an *old* guy) disgusted her. "Wait a minute," Jon said. "You *can't* be my grandfather. I remember you and him being together, like three summers ago when we went up to his cabin." "But the stone said that it's true. I don't think it can lie," Karyn said. *But I wish it could,* she thought, dreading the knowledge that the wish had given her. Jon looked down at the stone and wondered. *Could* it lie? It obviously wasn't a normal object. But, maybe Jon was trying to question the truth he now knew. That his grandfather really didn't die, that he just turned himself into Karyn. He wanted his grandfather back, but it was too strange to know that his grandfather was really his best friend, who was also a girl. Suddenly, questions popped up in his mind. Did his grandfather take over Karyn? Or was Karyn never supposed to exist in the first place? Was it possible to make Karyn remember his grandfather's memories? If so, would that be a good idea? He'd get his grandfather back in some form, but the Karyn he knew would be gone. Probably forever. "Jon?" Karyn asked. "What are you gonna do now?"
