Zoe's POV

Zoe's eyes flew open and she looked at the clock - 1:58 AM. "Ugh," she grunted. She was *trying* to get to sleep, but her stupid brother and his stupid friend Karyn were talking all night. About what, Zoe didn't care. All she wanted was for them to shut up so she could get some sleep. Why was Jon's friend over so late anyway? She didn't know, and really, she supposed, she didn't care. She was about to stomp over to his room and yell at him for keeping her up all night, but she didn't have to, because suddenly they went quiet. Smiling to herself, thinking that maybe she had something to do with it (she was a believer in psychics), Zoe began to close her eyes and get some sleep. But before she did, a flash of light came from her window. It startled her, but then she dismissed it as just lightning. Nighttime storms weren't uncommon. Then she fell asleep.
