Continuity, time, and silence

Like The\_Guest, I too was puzzled by "Linda has a talk with Jon" because Jon wasn't Linda's child anymore. Happy to see I wasn't the only one. "My obsession about details and narrative is what makes me half the time get stalled on writing." I haven't written a chapter here in ... two years? ... because I have the same obsession. And the more time passes, the more reluctant I am to write because I can no longer remember all the details in a branch anymore, and I don't have time to reread the whole branch to keep things straight. I've considered going back close to the root of a branch so I have less continuity to deal with, but I enjoy what others have come up with and want to pick up where they left off -- and do it right.
