Why Does Mallory Feel So Strange?

As if through a haze, she became aware that Zoe's voice was yammering in the background. "Mallory? Mal? Are you there?" "Uh ... yeah," she answered. Mallory was her name, right? It sounded right, but she had a nagging feeling that it was wrong somehow. "Mom wants you to come home right away. And that means no stopping at Jessica's house on the way." Jessica Smith was Mallory's best friend. Or was she? That nagging feeling that something was wrong came back. "Okay," Mallory said, then hung up. She looked down at the stone and decided to find out once and for all why she was having these strange feelings. "I wish I knew why I'm feeling so strange." The stone glowed and she got her answer. Her eyes went wide. A boy named Jon made a wish that turned him into another person. And that person was Mallory! She didn't remember the wish that he made, because she was a totally new person. Only Jon could remember the wish, but Jon didn't exist anymore!
