As shocking as it was, Jon learned that someone had made a wish to make him a boy, meaning he must have been a girl before the wish was made. But he didn't hear the wish, so his memories were changed along with his body. He just couldn't grasp it. The idea that he was supposed to be a girl seemed so far-fetched.
