Tim Has a Fever

Jon braced himself for a change, but nothing seemed to happen to Tim. He didn't look any hotter than he did before. But that's what he wished, so there had to be *something* different about him. "Whoa, I don't feel very good," Tim said. He touched his forehead. "I'm burning up!" "You have a fever?" Jon asked. "Or something." He grabbed his stomach. "I feel really queasy. I think I should sit down. Why is this happening to me?" "It must be what you wished." "I didn't wish to be sick." "No, but you wished to be hot." "Oh my god, that's right. But I didn't mean hot like *this*." "Sometimes the stone doesn't grant wishes the way you want." "Why didn't you tell me that before I made my wish?" "You never gave me a chance," Jon said.
