I sort of am going with the idea that Miss Fine is influencing people around her, but Karyn herself is avoiding her.
1. Sarah is trying to make Karyn's identity her own. So she stole Karyn's clothes for herself and may do more of that.
2. Miss Fine just gave Biff a suggestion that swapped Karyn and Sarah in his mind.
3. She's tried to replace Karyn in Jon's mind with herself...at least during the transition.
