Green Stone: Jon's Gone

Jon tried to make a test wish, but it worked differently. Instead of a need to turn away, he felt a tugging in his whole body, almost like he was being drawn into the stone. He closed his eyes, feeling an immense pain wash over his body, and then the pain was gone. He opened his eyes, but everything was in darkness. *How come I can't see?* he thought. He wanted to *say* it, but he discovered that he couldn't speak. Why couldn't he speak? ------ Thomas Fielding, the owner of the flower shop just down the street, walked past a yellow car that still had its engine on, but no one behind the wheel. There *was* this odd-looking green stone sitting next to it, though. He picked it up and looked at it. It wasn't *painted* green. It *was* green. How weird was that? "How come I can't see?" a voice suddenly said. Thomas looked around, but didn't see anyone near him who could have said it. "Who said that?" he asked.
