"We'll figure this out, Karyn. You'll see." Inside, I felt doubtful, but I had to say something. "Thanks," she said with resignation. "So, what are we gonna do?" I thought about it for another minute. "Well, we can't stay here. If this thing's acting up, I don't want to be anywhere near here when my family gets home." Karyn nodded. "I agree. But where do we go?"
