a fumbled swap

Jon tried to think of something to say but he had trouble thinking under pressure. He thought maybe he could disorient them and get away if he swapped their bodies, but fumbling under pressure what he said wasn't clear. So what he blurted out was odd. "I wish you two would sort of swap". Jon groaned after that, he didn't even say what they'd swap, it could be an exchange of complements. What is a sort of swap anyways.
