Personality Manipulator: Karyn Makes a Karen

(_Author's Note: Struggled with the question of how to approach a 'popular' adult. Because it didn't make them popular...it changed how they acted. Popular could be what happens to adults who were popular in high school, it could be an adult version of popular...I figured it varied based on the person._) Meanwhile, who was the woman who accidentally got affected by the device? And how would she be affected, since she was way older than a teenager? The woman in question was Carla Lettman. She had a son in Karyn's school. She was overweight, a chain smoker, and was only heading toward one of the anchor stores at the mall to buy a few things before going home to watch TV. She didn't even notice when Karyn hit her, just frowning at an odd noise. She proceeded toward her next destination, but instead of shopping, she headed to the service counter to discuss something. She felt...good somehow. If she had looked in the mirror, she would have seen a much more fit version of herself, with a short haircut. She looked several years younger, the effects of cigarette smoke having been lifted from her face. She felt good, but wasn't sure why. "I'd like to speak to the manager," Carla said. Meanwhile, Karyn followed that Japanese student and what she assumed was her mother...she couldn't be bothered to remember her name, into a store. Karyn studied her. She was attractive...or would be if she had a clue. Maybe it was time to give her one. She aimed the device at both mother and daughter.
