Mother of the bride

"Come in," I said, not looking away from the mirror. "Don't you look beautiful?" chuckled a voice from behind me. I turned to see my mom dressed in a suit. I blushed and smiled wondering why she wore a suit instead of a dress. Was I having a wedding where everyone crossdressed, or was clothing reversed here with suits being feminine and dresses masculine? And if the latter, did that mean men were the fairer sex here?
