Jon realises he's a fictional character

I returned home and locked my door. With a sigh I slumped onto my bed and got out the stone, playing with it as I idly thought about things. "I wish I knew the meaning of life," I said with a laugh. As it hit me, I froze. I now knew that I was a character on a website called Fiction Branches. My whole life was a play thing for its readers, choosing what would happen to me and how the stone would twist my wishes. Countless parallel universes where my wishes would back fire or a slip of the tongue would screw me over. "I wish I was aware of whoever reads this branch and that by reading this I gain control over them and can change them with my stone."
