She walked downstairs, not quite paying attention to anything. Her legs rubbing together were too much of a constant distraction for her to think of anything else. As she stepped into the kitchen, Amanda said, "Hey, Maria, can I talk to you about-" "No time. Sorry! Late for work!" Maria interrupted, darting from one end of the kitchen to the next, picking a muffin, putting her keys in her mouth, and trying to juggle a purse, a briefcase and a jacket. Amanda walked over to help her friend. "Thanks," Maria said as AManda helped her into the jacket. "It's crazy today. Woke up late and... ah! I am late!" Quickly Maria turned around and, blowing a kiss at Amanda, walked out. Amanda stood transfixed for a second. Maria had been wearing pantyhose with her business suit. Her legs had looked so very good.
