After Jon left Mikey felt tears well up in his eyes. Jon didn't even remember him, after spending 17 years raising him his son had treated him as simply 'the mother of a friend'. Regina, Zoe and Linda were bratty and impossible to manage without a mature influence like Jon. He felt like a failed parent. Mikey collected himself as his body adjusted to his clothes better, before realize what nonsense he'd been thinking. He was only 22 years old, how could he possibly have two teenage daughters?
