Damsel in Distress

"Wait. There's a mistake," I said. My mouth opened wide at the obvious difference in my voice. I was definitely female now, no question about it. I stood up from my cushioned chair and looked out a nearby window (or rather an opening in the wall). It appeared that I was in a tall stone tower overlooking a vast castle. Down below, I could see a slumbering dragon. "Great. Not only am I an NPC, but I'm also a damsel in distress." I looked out the window again and in the distance I could see a man riding a white horse. He was riding it towards the castle, with his sword drawn. "And that must be my knight in shining armor," I said. "Man, that sounded weird."
