Cafeteria Conversation

"And how are you, Jon-how's life as a pudgy wimp?" Ethel asked, a wry grin on her face. Jon smiled and replied "Oh fantastic, Ethel-the girls are all over me-or at least shoving me into walls. And gym class today was a blast!" They both laughed. "Yeah-it'll be allright, Jon. We weren't Mr. and Ms. Popular before anyway. Sarah'll pick on us for awhile, but eventually she'll get tired of it, and high school doesn't last forever. College will be better, and maybe I can even get gastric bypass eventually. In the meantime maybe we can join a gym together." Suddenly Sarah appeared at the table, looming over them. "Well, it's the shrimp and the blimp. Good to see you two togehter again-you are the perfect geek couple,after all. You haven't been plotting against me again have you? And you know I can tell if you're lying." Jon stayed silent, his head down. Ethel shook her head and answered "No, Sarah, honest we weren't-we were talking about college and stuff." Sarah smiled, looking almost sweet. "I believe you, Ethel. Now, down to business, tubby."
