JonCon: Welcome to the Party

Jon was forced to look away, and when he looked back up, he found he was no longer in his bedroom. Or at home. Or even in a setting that was familiar to him. He was in a massive convention hall, like one of those comic cons that turned up in big cities every year, holding a brochure instead of a wishing rock. He brought it to his face to read its cover. _JonCon 20XX?_ he thought, staring in shock at the cover. _What the... Why is it named for me?_ A portrait of him...or maybe someone else who looked like him?...was part of the event's logo. The answer to that question might not have lurked so easily, but the list of featured guests and panelists read like a menagerie of things cooked up in dreams. _Or maybe with the stone._ Most of the featured guests seemed to be women, and many had names that indicated they were products of pretty interesting wishes. _Jonchelle? Jonatha? What the..._ There were Karyns and Sarahs and other, somewhat less familiar, names thrown in for good measure. "Okay, I need an explanation."
