Thinking things through

_Ok, I gotta think this through_ thought John, and went over all the wishes of the day that had affected him. First, Sarah's, to make everyone except him think he was a girl. Second, his own wish to see what other people saw, making him see Jen on every mirror and screen, just like everyone else. Finally, his own wish for boobs. John didn't care much for the last one, after his last wish granting him everything there is to know about boobs, he didn't mind them. It was a matter of practicality, he couldn't be a boy with boobs after reversing the other 2. _Also, the second one should sort out by itself once everyone sees me as I am_ he concluded. Having his paper ready, he proceeds to read his first wish, to reverse Sarah's. "I wish that when Sarah wished everyone thought I was a girl, she was referring to 'I Smith', and not me, John Gibson". John closed his eyes, but nothing happened. The stone didn't get warm, he didn't feel anything at all. _That's weird_ he thought, _it worked for Karyn... Ah, that's right, Sarah didn't say 'I', she said 'YOU were a girl'... How do I phrase it correctly? Ha, easy, I just have to make it so YOU is ME_ "I wish that when Sarah wished everyone thought 'YOU' were a girl, she was referring to me, John Gibson." said John without much thought. He felt the stone get warm, but saw now changes. _Now, I can wish my first wish, so 'I' in it will be 'me'_ thought John. "I wish that when Sarah wished everyone thought I was a girl, she was referring to 'I Smith', and not me, John Gibson". Nothing happened again. _Wait? Why didn't it work? I made it so Sarah wished 'I' was the 'YOU' in her wish, so that should've..._ Thinking things through, really thinking them through, John realizes his mistake. "I just made Sarah's wish even harder to reverse... I'm so sick of this, why am I so bad at it!" he said out loud and threw himself on his bed face first.
