Jon's mother wasn't watching her step and fell forward. She let go of the rock trying to catch herself; and Jon reached out and caught it. "I wish mom to be not hurt," he said as he stepped backwards. "I wish I was a boy again." And he was; though he still looked very much like a seventeen year old version of his mother.
